180TH CELEBRATION

Yesterday's 180th Anniversary party at America's Oldest Brewery was a great time. We lucked out and got a beautiful summer day here in Northeast Pennsylvania. Our Core Sales Division Manager, Rob Schimony, was cooking up a storm all day long on the grill. Visitors were greeted with their choice of Black & Tan bratwursts, hot dogs, and drinks when they arrived at the brewery. People came from all over to tour the facility, and many of our local tavern owners and distributors took time out of their day to attend as well. The local radio station, T-102, was broadcasting live all afternoon. They featured interviews with many members of the team here at Yuengling. They gave away prizes all afternoon and as a grand prize they gave away a signed 180th Anniversary mirror.
One of the biggest hits of the day was brewery tour guide Debbie Altobelli, who was dressed in a gigantic Lager bottle costume. Debbie jumped at the opportunity to spend the day meeting and greeting the visitors. Tour guide, Sharron Nassar also joined in on the fun with her Lager mug costume!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us at the event yesterday. Also, thanks to everyone who contributed to the planning and organizing of the event. The gift shop staff did an excellent job with all of the tour traffic that such and event brings!

The local news station WNEP was on site filming as well. You can check out their report below.

SHEPHERDSTOWN WV STREET FESTIVAL

Now that Yuengling is distributed in West Virginia, we're going to make our debut at our first festival in the Mountain State.

On Saturday, June 27th, the streets of historic Shepherdstown will buzz with the Fifth Annual Shepherdstown Street Fest. From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. residents and visitors will enjoy arts, crafts, live music, food, and free activities in the heart of town – and thanks to Jefferson Distributing Co., one of our new West Virginia wholesalers, when they need refreshment they can step into the German-style beer garden and quench their thirst with some products from Yuengling Brewery.

Shepherdstown is the oldest town in West Virginia, so it seems fitting that Yuengling, “America's Oldest Brewery,” is going to help visitors have a wonderful time while they listen to local and regional bands, including The Sean Cookus Quartet, Forrest Brown's Dirty Little Secret, The Speakeasy Boys, The Giants of Tiny Town, and TMD. And it's a family-friendly event, with a variety of free children’s activities.

For directions and parking information, visit www.shepherdstownstreetfest.org. We hope to see you there.

Fans saw live performances by Lights Over Ashfield, Adrenalyn, GryN, Nothing Sacred, Faith in Exile, and Cyanide Sunrise. PROUD EAGLE KICK OFF

Proud Eagle, one of our new West Virginia wholesalers, invited us into their market last week for a Yuengling kick off party. They held the celebration at the Appalachian Ball Park, home of the West Virginia Power. The game started off great, when Yuengling’s own Patriot Pat Noone got to throw out the first pitch. It was a great evening to watch the ballgame, and the new Yuengling signage in the stadium looked awesome. The drink of choice for the evening was Traditional Lager 16 ounce cans. This is a great package, and everyone enjoyed them throughout the night. The management at the ballpark is thrilled to be serving Yuengling; and they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of draught beer. Thank you to everyone at Proud Eagle for inviting us to enjoy the game with them, we wish you the best of luck as you continue to spread the Yuengling story in our newest territory of West Virginia.

BEER PAIRING DINNER

Yuengling was at The Restaurant at the Station in Tamaqua, PA recently for a beer pairing dinner. The chef at The Restaurant prepared an excellent menu, pairing each course with an appropriate product from the Yuengling portfolio. The appetizer was Sesame Beer Battered Lobster served with Wasabi Cream Sauce; this was paired with Traditional Lager. Guests were then served a salad that included Roasted Beet & Feta over Endive with Roasted Garlic, Tomato & Bacon Vinaigrette, paired with Lord Chesterfield Ale. For the main course, they paired Yuengling Premium with Beef Tenderloin stuffed with Garlic, Blue Cheese, & Artichoke served with a Yuengling Herb Sauce. For those who saved room for desert, the offering was a Double Chocolate Chip Brownie a la mode paired with Yuengling Dark Brewed Porter.

All of the courses were excellent. Yuengling representative Larry Trakes was on hand to explain the unique characteristics of each brew while they were served. The Restaurant had brand specific glassware for the event as well. Thank you to all of the guests who came out to join us for this sold out event. Enjoy the pictures below.
