HAPPY ANNIVERSARY EVE

5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Along with the new year, this evening we ring in the beginning of another momentous occasion. Yuengling will be celebrating its 180th Anniversary in 2009! That’s a significant achievement for our brewery. One that we’re very proud of. Everyone at Yuengling is appreciative of the continued support from our loyal consumers, retailers and wholesaler partners. You have all become a important part of our success and for that we thank each and every one of you.

Yuengling has been a family owned and operated business since 1829. Dick Yuengling, Jr. is the current President and Owner and is the great-great-grandson of our founder, David G. Yuengling. Under Dick’s leadership, we have become a prominent regional brewer, popular in the marketplace and widely recognized for the unique character in each of our seven beers.

Look for year-long programming efforts centered around our 180th Anniversary celebration! These will be showing up in stores and bars near you throughout 2009. We will be promoting the quality, heritage and traditions that have earned Yuengling the distinction of being America’s Oldest Brewery.

Tonight we have tremendous reason to celebrate – on the eve of a milestone anniversary year. So when you’re toasting to 2009, please take a moment to reflect on 180 years of Yuengling brewing excellence. Our wishes go out to everyone for a Happy New Year and much continued success! Please enjoy the night responsibly.

Happy 180th!!! We are definitely looking forward to celebrating your one hundred and eighth year of brewing. We hope that you will include a special anniversary beer can in your promotion. We are also waiting to see if the new vertical design that appears on the 12oz beer & light beer, plus on the 16oz beer & lager shows up on your other brands.

That's a great idea Bill! I'm glad you like the new can packages. We do have quite a few surprises in store to celebrate our anniversary, which will roll out throughout the year. Be on the lookout for exciting things to come from Yuengling. Thanks for following our blog!

Tell me what I need to do to get Yuengling to my neck of the woods here in Kentucky! I live near Bowling Green now (recently moved from Jacksonville NC) and I can't buy Yuengling here. I know horrible right. Well To get my Yuengling fix I have to drive 1 hour to Portland TN to buy my favorite beer, I foresee me going to jail soon on charges of bootlegging due to the large amounts I transport at one time. So to save me a 1 hr. drive and possible jail time please help me get Yuengling here in Bowling Green...
Semper Fi and happy new year.

Congrats on 180. I would love to celebrate with you, but to this date, your brand does not cover WV. I checked with the State office, and they advised that you have yet to apply for distribution rights in this state.

I travel for business and every time I am in a state where you sell, I always enjoy Yuengling as my beer of choice.

Please just fill out the applications so that I might enjoy your beer in the comfort of my home.

DS in WV

DS-

Thank you for your support of the Yuengling brand. We know that there are many Yuengling fans that live outside the distribution area, and we thank you for your patience as we grow at a manageable pace. Keep enjoying Yuengling when you are in the area, and if you ever get to Pennsylvania please come and visit the Historic Pottsville Brewery.

Are you considering WV as a distribution location any time soon?

Thanks for reading! At this time Yuengling is focused on providing quality products to our customers. With this in mind we need to ensure that any growth opportunities are manageable. We thank you for your patience and hope you will continue to enjoy Yuengling when the opportunity presents itself.
