HAPPY NEW YEAR

Yuengling would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. In 2009 we celebrated our 180th Anniversary year, and what a great success it was! Successes in 2009 included the seasonal return of Yuengling Bock Beer, a historic partnership with Martin Guitar, and the addition of West Virginia to our distribution area. In the marketplace there were some great promotions and events and we are looking forward to more fun with some great programs in 2010!

Everyone at Yuengling is greatly appreciative of the continued support from our loyal consumers, retailers, and wholesaler partners. As you ring in the new year tonight, raise your glass of Yuengling, and get ready for another exciting year with America's Oldest Brewery. Please enjoy the night responsibly.

MARIETTA 11-19-09

Yuengling was out in the Georgia market recently to thank our retailers for a wonderful first year. We teamed up with Atlanta Beverage – Marietta for a night out at some of the first big Yuengling accounts in this territory. AB Marietta rented the Original Fur Bus, pictured below, for the occasion. The pub crawl stopped at 5 accounts, where the owners were presented with signed Yuengling 180th Anniversary mirrors to thank them for their support. The mirrors were well received, these retailers have been very supportive of the Yuengling brands over the past year. Georgia retailers are also looking forward to the success of Yuengling Black & Tan draught, which has recently become available in their market. Spigots should be popping up all over the state of Georgia soon! If you enjoy Yuengling in Georgia and can’t find Black & Tan on draught, be sure to ask for it at your favorite Yuengling bar!

Thank you to the crew from Atlanta Beverage - Marietta for participating in this event. Also, thank you to everyone in Georgia who has made Yuengling a success over the past year!

BUTCHER FAMILY TOUR

Yuengling Brewery is a destination spot for beer enthusiasts from around the world. Recently we had a family come all the way from New Zealand to tour the brewery! The Butcher family visited the United States the first time in October to attend their son's wedding. Michael Butcher, the groom, is a bartender in the Washington D.C. area and an avid Yuengling fan. After telling his family all about America's Oldest Brewery and our products, it was a must see destination when they came to the country for the first time this fall.

The Butcher family joined their soon to be in-laws, the Kelly's for a private tour of the brewery and were lucky enough to meet Mr. Yuengling along the way. They had a great day at the brewery and were appreciative of the chance to walk through such a historic American landmark. The wedding that followed was a wonderful event, that was held at the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts, which is located in the former Yuengling family mansion. This building was donated to the SCCA in 1978 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Congratulations to Michael Butcher and Bridgette Kelly on your recent marriage. Thank you for including Yuengling as part of your wedding events!

SPLIT ROCK 2009

The 18th Annual Great Brews Classic Beer Festival was a great success this past weekend. The festival included sampling sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. This years event was held in three large rooms at the resort and included great live entertainment all day long.

Yuengling joined over 50 other local, regional, and international breweries that were on hand sampling their portfolios. Thirsty attendees had a great selection to choose from at the Yuengling table, including Light Lager, Lord Chesterfield Ale, Dark Brewed Porter, and Original Black & Tan. The Yuengling fans came back quite a few times to get their fill of all these wonderful Yuengling brands. Notably, Yuengling Light Lager was one of only a handful of light beers available at the festival, and attendees definitely enjoyed having a lighter choice in the room. Thank you to our wholesale partner United Beverage of NEPA for making this another successful year at Split Rock!

KIRCHNER GUITAR FINALS

Yuengling and Kirchner Distributing teamed up this fall to award one lucky consumer a limited edition Yuengling Martin Guitar. The Yuengling team at Kirchner ran 21 Yuengling guitar promotions all around Lancaster County in August and September. All the patrons who attended these events were entered to become a semi-finalist and get one step closer to winning the guitar. For the finale of this program the 21 semi-finalists were invited to the Fireside Tavern for a private party where the winner was announced. Attendees enjoyed some great food from the Fireside along with free Yuengling while they anxiously awaited to find out who was going home with the grand prize. Once all the names were collected, it was a Yuengling fan named Mike from Conestoga, PA who won the guitar. Mike had attended the Rock Hill Tavern promo in August and was lucky enough there to be selected to attend this finale event. He was greatly appreciative of the prized guitar!

Everyone that attended this event had a great time at the Fireside Tavern's night club. Entertainment was provided by Duane Slaymaker, a local musician who also played several of the fall guitar promotions. Thank you to everyone who attended the guitar promos this fall. Congratulations on your win Mike!
