PSU TAILGATE

Yuengling and TailgateHaven.com sponsored a special tailgate event in Happy Valley this weekend. There were over 50 people in attendance including the TailgateHaven.com crew and several folks from Yuengling. Miller's Tailgate Crew were very hospitable hosts and great tailgaters! The weather was great and many tailgate games were being played throughout the day, including the Yuengling Ladder Golf event. Everyone had a great time, and the other tailgaters around this event even came by to see what the big fuss was all about. Fans enjoyed Yuengling Light Lager and received some cool Yuengling giveaways to remember the day by. The outcome of the PSU - Ohio State match up was less than favorable for fans dressed in blue and white, but overall the event was a success.

BOOK SIGNING 11-14-09

The Yuengling Brewery Museum & Gift Shop will be hosting a book signing this Saturday, November 14th from 10am-3pm. Dr. Joan Lehmann has written a new historical fiction novel titled Heaven Below. The story takes place during the Great Depression in Pottsville, PA. The main character, Sean O’Connell is a coal miner in the area, who has quite an adventure. There is historical information about Pottsville, the Yuengling Brewery, and the Yuengling Ice Cream plant all included in the story.

We invite everyone to head to the brewery this weekend to meet Dr. Lehmann and check out her new book. There will be free tours of America’s Oldest Brewery as well. Please visit Yuengling.com for tour times and information before planning your trip.

NJLSA TRADE SHOW

The Yuengling team in New Jersey attended the 4th Annual Holiday Package Trade Show in October. This event is hosted by the New Jersey Liquor Store Alliance (NJLSA), and is a great opportunity for New Jersey retailers and restaurateurs to connect with the brewery on a direct level. Local business owners, managers, and employees enjoyed samples of all 7 of the Yuengling brands while learning more about America’s Oldest Brewery and the products we offer. Retailers also got a first hand look at some of the unique items Yuengling offers to improve upon displays at their locations. Thank you to the NJLSA for hosting this event, and to all the retailers who stopped in to say hello at the Yuengling tent.

ATLANTA BEV. GUITAR FINALS

The Yuengling Martin Guitar program came to a close in the Atlanta, GA market at an exciting finale event recently. The program consisted of 40 promotions held over an 8 week period all over the Atlanta area. The finalists from each event were invited to compete at the Tabernacle before The Used concert. Finalists got the VIP treatment at this event. Everyone who competed received a Yuengling prize pack, and enjoyed free Yuengling, great food, and a complimentary ticket to The Used concert. DJ Knox from our radio partner Project 9-6-1 did a great job hosting the event. The Used took some time out of their night and came down to kick off the competition for us. It was clear that these players were the best as the contest was a close one. When it was time to name a winner, it was Austen Shantz who came out on top and walked away with the Custom Yuengling Martin Guitar. The runner up, named Michael, was awarded a Yuengling rotating pub sign for his efforts. Thank you to everyone who participated in this exciting promotion. Enjoy the pictures below.

PSU TAILGATE 11-7-09

Yuengling and TailgateHaven.com will be sponsoring a special tailgate event this Saturday, November 7, 2009 in Happy Valley for the Penn State-Ohio State game. The tailgate will take place in Lot 24 behind the luxury boxes and will start at 8 am. Two of the tailgate groups that are being sponsored are "Happy Valley Tailgaters" and "Miller's Tailgate." There will be a Ladder Golf tournament and the winner will get to take home a Yuengling Ladder Golf game. There will also be many other giveaways from Yuengling and TailgateHaven.com for fans who attend the event.

Look for the Yuengling and TailgateHaven.com flags in Lot 24 and come by and visit! Fans will be enjoying Bubba Burgers and Yuengling all morning long!

SARANAC, NY PROMOS

The Yuengling team in New York was out in the Saranac area recently. Grizzel T's held a Yuengling promo with a great two for one deal on pints and bottles! The bar was filled with students from the nearby Paul Smith College campus, who were excited about the Yuengling tailgating program. In addition to entering the text to win tailgate program, Yuengling fans at Grizzel T's received some great giveaways including hats, tees, and Yuengs & Wings frisbee's. The Grizzel T Bear was even sporting Yuengling gear!

In the same market, The Water Hole in Saranac Lake, NY held a Yuengling promo recently. Patrons enjoyed Lager, Light Lager, and Black & Tan bottles for the special price of just $2.00. Customers also got the chance to play Yuengling trivia for 180th Anniversary tee shirts. One lucky Yuengling fan took home the grand prize of a very nice Yuengling cooler bag. The Water Hole is a great local bar that often features bands from around the area.

MAD RIVER 10-24-09

Yuengling was at the Mad River Bar & Grill in Old City Philadelphia recently for the Lions - Michigan game. Our friends from 93.3 WMMR joined us at this event with the MMRmy, who took charge to giving away some great prizes including Yuengling hats, tees, and a 19" Flat Screen TV! The crowd at Mad River was huge, totaling around 500 patrons! Fans in attendance enjoyed Yuengling Lager and Chesterfield Ale pints at the special price of just $2.00 a pint. The Lager taps were running non stop long before the game even started, and Mad River went through several barrels of Lager before kickoff! The fans dressed in blue and white certainly were pleased with the outcome of the game as PSU took the win over Michigan!
