BUFFALO BREWFEST

Yuengling recently joined over 20 other breweries at the Buffalo Brewfest in New York. The event was held on August 8th at the HSBC Arena. This year the festival drew a crowd of nearly 2,500 thirsty samplers! At the Yuengling table, fans enjoyed Traditional Lager, Light Lager, and Black & Tan. All three brands were very well received. Proceeds from this event benefit the Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center. Thank you to our wholesaler partner CH Wright for making this a successful sampling event!

TAMPA GUITAR PROMO 8-29-09

Tomorrow, Saturday August 29th, is the next round of the Tampa Bay area Martin Guitar promotions. The promo will be at Crabby Bill's Indian Rock Beach location. Come on out for your chance to enter to win a Limited Edition Yuengling Martin guitar! Also, the guitar hero contests will continue at this round and the winner of the contest will get Metalica tickets and a cash prize! They will also be in the running to win the Wii and the Guitar Hero game as well.

HERE FOR THE BEER VIDEO

The crew from HereForTheBeer.com visited Yuengling in the spring time this year. Tim and Amy Brady founded this unique site that is dedicated to better beers! The site features videos of breweries and industry events from around the US. They have some great episodes posted and the Yuengling video was recently uploaded for fans to see. WHISKEY BUSINESS TOUR

The Yuengling Brewery is a great destination spot in North Eastern Pennsylvania. Recently, one of our retail partners from the Wilkes-Barre, PA area came down to visit. The crew from Whiskey Business made the trip to Pottsville to tour our historic brewery. Owners Gene Smith and Kenny Owens thought it was a good idea to bring their staff down for a first hand look at the brewing and bottling operations and to taste our diverse portfolio of fine beers. Mr. Yuengling was on hand to meet the folks and shared conversation as well as a few photos. Everyone had a great time and expressed how wonderful it was to see the America's Oldest Brewery first hand.

Whiskey Business features 3 Yuengling brands on draft at their establishment. Patrons can enjoy Lager, Light Lager, and Black & Tan when they stop by this great bar!

GREEN GABLES BEER FESTIVAL

The weather was perfect for the Green Gables Beer Festival that was held recently in New Milford, PA. 2009 marked the third year for this annual event. Our wholesale partner United Beverage was pouring at the Yuengling table. They offered fans samples of Lord Chesterfield Ale, Light Lager, Premium Light, and Porter. They also offered the classic Yuengling mix of Half & Half, which is 50% Porter mixed with 50% Lord Chesterfield Ale! Customers kept coming back during the 5 hour event, with such a selection they wanted to try them all!

COMPLETE GA GUITAR PROMO SCHEDULE

The Martin Guitar program in the Georgia Market is just getting started, and all the dates have been set! Each event will have a Guitar Hero contest where contestants will compete to win a Yuengling Prize Pack and the chance to play again at the final round in the Fall. Only 16 contestants will get to play at each promotion so be sure to arrive early if you want to compete. Finalists will compete for the grand prize of a Limited Edition Yuengling Martin Guitar in the fall. Spectators and participants can look forward to some great Yuengling specials at these events as well.

GEORGIA PUB CRAWL 8-22-09

Yuengling has teamed up with the Penn State Alumni Association in Atlanta, GA for their Big Ten Pub Crawl. This annual event will take place in Midtown Atlanta, this Saturday, August 22, 2009. The event starts at 4pm and will go for 6 hours and include 6 different hot spots in the area. Advance tickets can be purchased for $10 online at http://www.bigtenpubcrawl.com/ or you can get tickets for $20 at the door. Tickets give you admission to Midtown's hottest bars with no cover. Participants can look forward to $3.00 Yuengling drink specials and a Yuengling koozie for signing up. Also, a donation will be made to Bert's Big Adventure, a local charity that takes terminally ill children and their families to Disney World.

FERG'S 8-8 PROMO PICS

The first Martin Guitar promotion in the Florida market was held August 8th at Ferg's in St. Petersburg. Everyone that came out was able to enter to win a Limited Edition Yuengling Martin Guitar, and a few lucky patrons got to play Guitar Hero for their chance to win a cash prize and Metalica tickets! The bar was crowded and patrons were entertained watching the guitar hero contest all evening. Lager pints were featured for $1.80 and the bartenders were busy all night keeping up with the crowd. GA GUITAR PROMOS

Martin Guitar promotions continue this week in the Georgia market. Tonight, August 19th there will be a promo at the Arena Tavern in Duluth, GA from 8-10pm. At the Georgia promos patrons with have the opportunity to play the popular video game, Guitar Hero on a Nintendo Wii. The high score for the evening will win a Yuengling prize pack and the opportunity to compete for the grand prize of a Limited Edition Yuengling Martin Guitar at the final round. Spectators and participants can look forward to some great Yuengling specials as well. The fun starts at 8pm tonight, hope to see you there!

WV KICKOFF PARY 8-7-09

Mona Supply Company in West Virginia held a kick off party this month to celebrate the arrival of Yuengling Beer to the Greater Morgantown area. Mona hosted 200 guests at the Hazel Ruby Convention Center at Mylan Park. Guests in attendance included local retailers, the Mona Distributing team, and Yuengling representatives.

Music was provided by a DJ and guests enjoyed a great meal catered by Wings Ole, a local Morgantown hot spot. The Yuengling girls were on hand to make sure that everyone had a cold Yuengling in their hand throughout the night. They served samples of Lager, Light Lager, Black & Tan, Lord Chesterfield Ale, and Dark Brewed Porter. Overall this was an extremely successful event. The community really seems to identify with the Yuengling brand and everyone commented on how glad they were that Yuengling has finally arrived in West Virginia. Thank you to the Oleska Family for hosting this event and to everyone at Mona for your support of Yuengling.
