YUENGLING TO INTRODUCE 24OZ CANS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

YUENGLING TO INTRODUCE 24OZ CANS

POTTSVILLE, Pa. (September 3, 2010) – D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., is pleased to announce that a new 24oz can line has been installed and is ready for production at the Mill Creek Facility in Pottsville.

America’s Oldest Brewery will release the flagship brand, Yuengling Lager, in 24oz cans throughout the 13 states and the District of Columbia where Yuengling products are currently sold. The heaviest distribution emphasis will take place in convenience stores, where single serves are 50% of unit sales.

“Our Lager Brand continues to grow in the c-store channel, and that’s been without the benefit of having the most popular single serve package available,” stated Lou Romano, Yuengling Marketing Manager. “Anticipation for this package has been high, as it represents a great deal of opportunity.”

Yuengling Light Lager 24oz cans will follow at a later date to be determined.

This is fantastic news! Since this size can is frequently seen at sporting events, will your company try to get it sold in the stadiums in your distribution area (like Citizens Bank Park, Nationals Park, and - my personal favorite - Tropicana Field)?
