SHAMROCK MARATHON

Yuengling will be sponsoring the Shamrock Marathon in Virginia Beach again this year. The Yuengling Shamrock Marathon will be held over three days this weekend, and it will feature a variety of different activities. There will be a two day Sports and Fitness Expo, a Marathon (26.2 miles), a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), an 8K, a One Mile Run, and a Children’s Marathon (26.2 yards). All of the events start and end on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, the marathons will run through the resort area and along the boardwalk as well. They are expecting approximately 20,000 participants from all over the country and approximately 50,000 spectators for the race. There will be live entertainment in the main tent at the race all weekend long. You can enjoy Yuengling Lager, Light Lager, and Bock Beer in the tent as well. If you plan on coming to Virginia Beach for the race, look for Yuengling specials at many of the local establishments as well. The proceeds from the race will benefit a variety of local charities.

Friday, March 20th 2009 – Sports and Fitness Expo
Saturday, March 21st 2009 – Sports and Fitness Expo, 8K, and Children’s Marathon
Sunday, March 22nd 2009 – Marathon and Half Marathon
